Instructions

This came out of a fall "Quilt Magazine" about 3 years ago. The pattern is by Kaye England of Kaye England Publications. A very careful 1/4 in. seam is imperative. I have made this quilt 2x, one for charity and this one for my niece. I plan to make another-for me:)

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Cotton, warm and white batting, grey top and yellow bobbin thread for quilting

What was your inspiration?

I love my niece and wanted to make a quilt for her wedding. She wanted a traditional quilt in yellow and gray to match her wedding colors and her master bedroom.

What are you most proud of?

I retained most of my points-I am getting better. I don't particularly care for gray and yellow but I liked the end result. as a perfectionist-I made myself leave 2 mistakes and that was a milestone for me-one was a spelling error!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

careful, careful, careful piecing. Slow, slow, slow. Took me approximately 40 hours from start to finish.
