What materials did you use? I am using Sharon Schamber;s method to layer my quilt. We have severe allergies to spray.. I do not like getting on the floor to layer a quilt. Using boards I can layer my quilt while on a table... a lot less stress on my back. I sew using pearl cotton or embroidery floss; thus basting the quilt layers. YOU can use pins but I like the sewn method better... good enough for Sharon ... good enough for me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be sure to center the top. batting and quilt back. Tape securely to the boards then roll them up snugly. Do your basting from the center out as that takes any wrinkle or bubbles and push then to the sides. Once basted you can FMQ in what pattern you like. I remove the basting thread as I go along. I will be stitching in the ditch to anchor the squares. I plan to use Leah Days 365 quilt motifs for inspiration along with all of the classes I have taken.
