What materials did you use? cotton jersey

What are you most proud of? This was my third go with this pattern, and the second time I made it in jersey. I wasn't completely happy with the neck and arm opening hems on my Sophie dress, so this time I made bindings for both. The result is much neater.

beauty! love it. How did you do your binding?

I cut strips across the grain 1" wide by 18" for the sleeves and 22" for the neck. I seamed them along the short sides to make loops, then folded the loops in half and pressed all the way around. (Kind of like bias tape.) I pinned the raw edge to the right side of the arm or neck opening and serged. Done! You could also topstitch the binding down if you want, but I liked this cleaner look. However, it does mean that I have to iron the bindings after washing.

How did you do the back? Did you make the back and front top pieces the same? Since I am assuming you don't need a keyhole opening?

That's right - I just cut the back on the fold and eliminated the keyhole opening :-) But the front and the back are not the same - I did use the pattern piece for the back, as the neck is higher in the back.

You're awesome!! And thank you for responding :-) After looking as many pictures as I could of this pattern I decided that must be what you did. :-)
