Tiny Changes

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky

Materials

Batik fabrics, tulle, beads, glitter, marker

What was your inspiration?

A trip to Maryland in the fall. I received some batik fabric as a gift that had beautiful fall colors.

What are you most proud of?

My original idea of having a couple photos of us in Maryland did not come out. So I painted over them and added writing and glitter.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is a nice opportunity to be free form and ignore the rules

This is SO unusual! And I really like it! I wouldn't have thought of doing anything like that - you may just have given me some inspiration to try something really different!

It is fun to try out art quilts once in a while .... I highly recommend them! But I still like traditional quilting the best! Thank you for your lovely comments!

Although I've crafted for almost 40 years I'm realitively new to mixed media, I really like your style...keep on ignoring the rules! This is a lovely peice, very soft & relaxing. Thank you for sharing your unique, inspiring peice.

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! l feel a tad shy about sharing it - but it is such a good place to keep track of all my projects. I think mixed media art quilts may be an acquired taste? My husband isn't on board with it; but seems happy to have me entertained! ;)
