Cotton fabric and leather
It's really pretty!!
I'm loving the leather bottom, as well as the flap! The colors you used are nice too, and may I ask you where did you purchase your leather at!
I am in England and I purchased it from a factory remnant shop in Yorkshire.
OK, I thought that maybe you ordered from online! Thanks for your response.
I love your flap!
Ive been thinking about your comment about the bag being too slouchy. Ive been experimenting with my first bag. It seems if there was a magnetic snap under the flap and placed just under the binding that it would provide some support and reduce the slouchiness. I am working on a second bag and may give that a try.
I am a knitter and love to knit Noni bags - some of which are a little slouchy plus the weight of the felted (fulled) wool adds to slouchiness. Sometimes I will add a little something inside to keep the shape I desire.
For me, heres the bottom line. I think these bags are like little sculptures - pieces of 3 dimensional art. Sometimes they need a little extra structure/support so that they satisfy our minds eye. I believe your bag is fabulous.
I love it! So cute & fresh! What did you use on your binding around the handles? I LOVE the visual texture of it! If it's too slouchy for you, gift it! It's gorgeous & I'm sure it would be loved & treasured... I'll send you my address... LOL!! :) Beautiful work!
Thank you. The binding is a green and white stiped cotton fabric cut on the bias. My mother already has her eye on the bag, so no doubt it will join her collection of bags she has cadged off me!
Thanks for responding about the binding! Hah, funny about your mom!
