What materials did you use? Fabric pieces, utility cloth, iron-on Decor bond, magnetic clasp.

What are you most proud of? I didn't start out to make such a "pink" bag. I selected a group of fabrics that blended together and then just selected the colors as I quilted. The bottom of the bag is a soft upholstery suede fabric found on the clearance rack. It just seemed to be the perfect color. I also put both a basic and a zippered pocket inside.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow the instructions given in the class. The tote is very big so I wanted to make it a little smaller. I did this by taking one inch off of the folded edges before cutting. This will shorten the straps and make the area smaller for the arm hole. It would be helpful to add that inch back on to the top of the straps (which I didn't think about doing until after finishing the bag). However it still works too carry over the shoulder and I am very happy with the finished project.

Thanks. Even though it took time to make, it was loads of fun to do.

Your bag is extraordinary! Love the inside. Your zipper looks perfect!

Thanks. It was so easy too to do following Tara's great instructions.

Now that I have actually carried and used the bag there are some things I would like to do for my next one. I would like to have the zippered pocket deeper and also the opening larger. I may have grabbed a zipper from my collection of re-usable notions that was not the correct length.

Great color choice....I think I am going to make it. Yours is so much cooler than the one they show for the class !!!!! Leather for the bottom or suede....interesting, I have never sewn that on a bag pattern before but it makes sense.....)))

Love your combination of greens and browns! Nice bag. I, too, altered the size of my bag. I added an inch to the handles and narrowed the width an inch on each side. Fits my stature better!
