What was your inspiration?
I was inspired to design this pattern for a friend who is new to knitting lace. She has set a goal for herself to knit five of these for her daughters' wedding (for the brides-maids and the bride--and one for herself)!
What are you most proud of?
The effect that the lace border has on the finished shawl is very beautiful and romantic.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This pattern was designed for those knitters who are new to lace. It incorporates an easy-to-remember stitch repeat.
