You might like to buy the fabric that is sold to make them from eBay. It is the best stuff to use. I have tried other fabric but I just had to try Tilda fine cotton weave fabric from the UK and it works the best. It stuffs great and look like the dolls in the book which is what I like. Materials
Tilda ginger colored fabric. Turqoise and white dotted fabric. Blk and pink Floss and stuffing. Tilda cat pattern from Tone's home decor book. Thread and a sewing machine. Prima paper flowers, ribbon and whatever else I can find to glue, sew or embellish on them.
What was your inspiration?
I know everyone gets tired of reading, " from Tilda home decor books but that is where I get the patterns and the inspiration to make these. I wish I could say they are my own but that just isn't so.
What are you most proud of?
I cannot say it as well as Francine says it. I am not proud of me at all and I just am thankful I can sew and make these cute things.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Buy the best materials you can afford and the books and go with it! Have fun! I do..........
