Cotton Fabric

What was your inspiration?

Making clothes for my daughters, of their designs.

Making a beautiful dress out of fabric I had on hand. No purchases were made for this!

What are you most proud of?

This isn't perfect, by any means. But, I put a lot of work into it. I serged the edges so there are no open seams on the inside. I gathered the ruffles and diligently sewed the pieces together. It even looks like something purchased off of the rack! I am proud to have completed it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Measure twice. Do your calculations twice.
Make sure you know what tier belongs to what measurement.
Make sure you know what way the fabric print will face and cut it on the right side!
