What materials did you use? This time I used wool Ties. Also used freezer paper to make sure they were exact because cutting then with scissors was not only time consuming, but wonky. I cannot cut straight with scissors no matter how hard I concentrate, While this isnt paper piecing, it is a dresden plate, Only the third time I have made it and each time it works perfectly no unnecessary stretching to make it fit, it just does. It looks difficult but its very easy as long as you use the correct template. found in BOM 2012. One tip I found that tacking your ends when you do the top of the blades ensures that when you pull them through they wont come undone, as oops I forgot a couple and had to return to the machine. might as well make it right the first time. I have given this one to my husband, as he like it so much. Was really meant for my daughter. oh well there is just about enough Ties to make another one perhaps a different pattern....paper piecing
