What are you most proud of? This is a dress that I made for a dear friend of mine. Unfortunately, once I finished the dress she was in crutches so I have not been able to get a picture of her in the dress. I am really happy with the fabric that we picked out. This was the first project that I have made with a pattern so it afforded me plenty of learning opportunities, i.e. realizing in the middle of cutting out the pattern that my flowers were upside down. Further, this is only the second sewing project I have ever done. So, while there is plenty that I can nitpick, I have to be really happy that it turned out at all!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Plan ahead for any mistakes you might imagine yourself making if you are a new sewer... I'm starting to realize that the old adage from construction ("Measure twice, cut once.) applies to sewing. :/

Your dress looks fabulous! If the flowers are upside down, I cannot tell. If they are all upside down, then who is to say you didn't mean for it to be so? You did a great job and I love it.

Thank you! I was able to "hide" the upside down panels of flowers on the back of the skirt.
