More important than size or shape is making sure the collar can get through the tunnel on the back. I made mine 1 1/2 in., as most large collars are 1" wide.I don't have these in my shop but would certainly custom make them for your favorite pooch.

What was your inspiration?
These are for 2 female German Shepherds named Bruin & Moose. They are friends and playmates of my g-daughter Olivia and she wanted to give them a gift.
What are you most proud of?
Being able to make something this individual. I wanted them to be girly so I used pink bandanas and replaced the yellow in the Bruins emblem with pink.. But I did not want them to look sissy. It seems to work.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use a backing. It gives them more body. I used pink pajama satin.
