Recycled jeans from a thrift store and emblellishments. Made the handles from my jewlery making stash.
What was your inspiration?
I saw brand new one at a craft fair and thought I can do that and I didn't even sew at the time. I just guessed about how I wanted them to look.
What are you most proud of?
Just proud of making them but the funny part is that I was originally making one for my oldest grandaughter and then I couldn't leave the youngest one out so from the legs I cut off I made her one that looks like a skirt and I lined it and left the bottome of the jeans part open like a skirt and turns out they both loved that one more than the one that looks like a pair of shorts. Kids! You never know do you! I loved it and they did too and now my 10 year old grandaughter is trying to learn to sew like her Nana. We do all sorts of crafts when we get together.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Hey, you're using thrift store reuse and it is not expensive so just get an idea and go with it. You can always start over.
