What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Patience and Practice! Work on several practice pieces to get the smooth motion. I took a class on this several years ago and it was a disaster--but I kept practicing and now I just love it! Keep the motion of the fabric as smooth as you can and I've found it works best to keep the machine moving at a constant medium-high speed. I've also found I need to loosen my machine's top tension.
