Materials

Cotton fabric for the background and borders. I embroidered the corner squares. This is a picture of my son. I'm adding the orginial picture so you can compare..

What are you most proud of?

THis wall hanging turned out pretty good, I need more practice in getting the eyes right.. My son's picture has smiling eyes.. I didn't capture that feature.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just go for it.. It's really quite easy..

There's a app on iphone called MySketch it turns your photo into a sketch.. I payed .99 cents for it but there are free one also.. This is a big help..

Oh yeh,, try it.. It isn't hard,, Get a picture like mine son enlarge it , put it up to window so you can trace it on fabric.. The rest is very easy.. Buy the pencils and stuff she recommends.. You won't have any problem

Great job! I am trying to decide if I should take this class. Don't know if I have the talent required. This has inspired me to give it a try.
