What was your inspiration?

My girls wanted something to wear for our Day Out With Thomas. Every where I looked, I could only find boys clothes with Thomas on them. My youngest has three t-shirts of him, but not a cute outfit. I found some fabric at my local Walmart and made these up for the girls. I decided to do the hats with some leftover contrast fabric. When we went to the event, everyone was looking at them and a ton of people commented on them. They looked so cute. I also sewed a twirly skirt for my niece. The three of them, hand in hand and wearing their Thomas clothes was priceless!

What are you most proud of?

How well and how quickly they came together. My youngest daughter's dress was a little more complicated and time consuming, but my oldest's dress was really quite easy and quick!

I made a ruffled skirt for my niece to wear to Day Out With Thomas and it was really cute. I used a great tutorial online for it!http://grandrevivaldesign.typepad.com/photos/ruffled_skirts_tutorial/index.html. Did you get your Thomas fabric at Walmart? It's really hard to find.
