What was your inspiration?
That will do pig. That will do.
I knit this little cutie up on a rainy afternoon. I had no specific plan as to WHAT I was going to try to make. I had my size 4 needles and about tennis ball sized bit of yarn to play with. I just started knitting, enjoying my movie with an open and relaxed mind. A couple of hours later, I realized that I was holding a shape very similar to an adorable chunky guinea pig. So I went with it! This pattern is a result of the extemporaneous knitting session.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be fearless. Its just yarn and pointy sticks, after all.
I love variegated yarns for this project. Its perfect for those lovely leftover balls of hand painted - dyed yarns,
