Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. 140 lb Strathmore paper and a $20.00 set of Reeves water color tubes. I start cheap to see if I can stick with something, so far, it is giving me a lot of pleasure and I find it very relaxing.

I use the same photo I took at an arboretum to do a study in blue, red and finally here using a couple more colors. I haven't finished all the lessons but I am enjoying it immensely.

Ernesto -- I'm so glad you're enjoying the class and your painting. You're off to a great start. I particularly like the way you've discovered the different shapes in the roses. Something to look at in other paintings is how big shapes interact with each other in a painting to lead the viewer's eye through it. You might enjoy some reading -- I think the following book is great:
