Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:

Instructions

This pattern calls for 100% spun silk, however I knitted it with wool, giving me a nice warm scarf for the cooler months.
I like my scarves long, and this pattern is for a 58" scarf so I adjusted the pattern a little to add an extra 20", making my scarf 78" long.

What was your inspiration?

I love girly stuff with hearts, flowers etc, and I saw this pattern on Craftsy and just knew I had to knit this for myself. I am now searching for a hat pattern and mitts pattern to match, if no luck may even attempt to adjust basic hat and mitt patterns to incorporate the interlocking heart panel from this design.

What are you most proud of?

Being confident enough in my knitting ability to be able to successfully adjust the pattern to suit my needs :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

You need to have a basic ability of knitting lacey patterns. Don't be afraid to ask a knitting friend for advice on knitting lacework, or searching tutorial videos online, if you are new to knitting lace.
Most of all, even if you are struggling with the lacework, don't let it get you stressed out! Enjoy knitting this, I found it to be a very fun pattern :) Was especially fun to see the hearts emerging.

I have been having trouble getting started with the eyelet stitch. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I end up short stitches, and the pattern is wonky by the end of the 4th row. Any advice?
