What materials did you use? Cotton and linen top, double layer of batting, cotton back

What are you most proud of? Balancing the feathers on each side

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It needed a double batting to really help it 'puff'. I always practice first on paper, and this one required a bit of marking. Don't beat yourself up if every feather isn't perfect. The overall effect will be what people see. Matching the thread color to the backround helps, too. This had 3 colors of thread.
