What are you most proud of? Im proud of the way the feathers turned out, the wash of acrylic paint on the Polymer Clay setting almost looks like antique gold.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't be intimidated by the plastic type look of the polymer clay in the package. My faux stones are all clay no paint just the color of the clays, glitter, gold leaf etc. that I use. Transparent clay can be your best friend when used with other colors of clay. Many inclusions may be added to the transparent clay, eyeshadows, glitter, mica powders, some spices and even ground up colored chalk.

I like this piece itis very pretty. Do you use a bench buffer to poish your pieces. They have a great shine. I also like the fact that you use inclusions in your clay, I use ash, red dirt from 3 states, black dirt from tennesee, sage and rosemary from my herb patch, as well as the usual mica powders, alcohol inks and gold and other metal leaf.

No I don't have a bench polisher( I wish) its all by hand & then a few coats of an ultimate varathane gloss. I just started with the polymer clay jewelry in October 2010 so I'm still learning.

I started polymer clay around the same time, maybe acoupleof months before you. I have a few pieces of my work on Craftsy and on FaceBook at Blue Dragon Fly Designs.
