What was your inspiration?
I decided that this was the summer I made something for myself. After attending N.H. Sheep to Wool Festival in May of 2011 I was bound and determined to come home with all the fixin's for a me project. This approximately.72 inches long and wraps around your shoulders or drapes like a normal shawl.
What are you most proud of?
Like most crafters,just getting the project completed and ready to wear is pretty exciting. The goal was to have it finished for a September wedding and I did it with time to spare.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This was my first attempt at knitting with laceweight yarn. The shawl is done with short rows using a wrap and turn method. The pattern calls for size 6 single pointed needles which makes the yarn feel VERY thin. I think my best advice would be to give the feel of the pattern a chance. The stitches are easy the weight of the yarn takes some getting use to.
