Beautiful cake! I do a lot of birthday and other special occasion cakes but wedding cakes are a completely different stress. Your orchids are fantastic, love the coloring.

This was for my sons wedding. About a year before, my daughter-in-law wanted to take A few Wilton classes with me, so let the bonding begin. This was her dream cake. We were very happy with the outcome. We just made the family birthday cakes all year trying a new technique each time and it built our confidence. You can do it!

wow, this looks so beautiful. just a question, did you insert the wire into the cake or did you have some special way attaching the orchids into the cake surface?

Thanks so much! So what we did was use plastic straws. Technically, they say you shouldn't put those wrapped wires directly into the cake. So the straws were cut slightly longer and it worked great. No wrapping of sprays!
