What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? I took this using my 70-200 zoom lens. The lens was maybe three feet from the bloodroot flower.

These were found at the Minnesota River Valley Refuge.

I love bloodroot. One of my favorite parts of spring in Minnesota. Great work shooting with your telephoto zoom lens. That gives a distinctly different look to the image. I am not sure why your two photos have such different exposures. In the vertical, the exposure is correct because the white flower is white with detail. In the horizontal, the white flowers are not white, but a dingy gray, which is not expressing the beauty of these flowers. That is a bit of underexposure. The drama of the dark surroundings is interesting, but still, if the white is not white, the image does not look its best.
