What was your inspiration?
a dear friend who has shown and has had the fun of showing me how to quilt . she loves pink and butterflies. i love green n frogs .. the ladies in the quilt have sayings like " i'm not having hot flashes / i'm having mini tropical vacations !' so to honor her i made this quilt with alot of love ! the binding edge is a fabric i found that had frogs n pink butterflies to tie it all together. She has shown me so much with patience and alot of laughs . her love of quilting inspired me to make this one for her. she is the woman thats gives so much to everyone around her so i told her that it was her turn to get a lasting hug!
What are you most proud of?
some of the sashing is a weave of the fabric put together. my new BOM teachings (thank you craftsy ! ) this was my 1st lap quilt . all done on my lil old machine n hanging off the edge of the desk
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
just have fun ! pick a few colors and have at it ! no one is watching n have the ripper on the ready! when its all done its worth every minute !
