Instructions

I've just uploaded the pattern. I used 1" acrylic buckles that I purchased online at Crafter's Vision. They are rectangular shaped with a middle bar.; but you could use a 1" tri-glide or a 1" rectangular ring.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Whimsical, Traditional, Classic

Materials

A heavy duty drop cloth, fabric, interfacing, and four buckles

What was your inspiration?

My friend told me about some tote bags that she saw in a Ballard Designs catalog.

What are you most proud of?

I didn't know what I wanted to do with the buckles/straps. I explored a lot of ideas and came up with these.

Having just followed you and looked through your projects I can see that bags are your thing. You achieve a really professional finish to your work and I love your designs.

Thanks Nelly! Yes, I love to make bags - most of them are my own designs. I think I was an engineer in another life! I love the design and construction - beauty meets utility!
