Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
The Serengeti Baby Blanket »

Instructions

This is a combined knit/crochet project, so some knowledge of both crafts is necessary.

Also, using yarn that is blockable would be the best choice - cotton is machine wash/dry, and can be blocked if removed from the dryer while still slighly damp. Washable wool would also work.

If car-seat size is not big enough, use worsted wt yarn with larger needles/hook.

Knit Picks Simply Cotton sport in 4 colors: Camel, Brass, Marshmallow, Reindeer (border) #7 circs G hook

What was your inspiration?

Looking at beautiful photos of Africa gave me the inspiration for the colors - plus the fact that I lived in Nigeria for a year.

What are you most proud of?

I was trying to come out with a baby blanket that was neither too boyish, nor too girlish - something that would work for any baby, and wasn't pastel.
