What was your inspiration?

I am inspired by mid-16th century ruff collars, a ruffled fluffy, airy collar worn by European aristocrats.

What are you most proud of?

I had fun designing this ruffle, and making it a focal point of a soft white upholstery fabric purse.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you'd like to see a photo tutorial how to construct the ruffle, check out my website at: http://www.1893victorianfarmhouse.blogspot.com. The tutorial post date is October 22, 2012.

The "Ruff"ruffle is easy peasy to make. Leave me a comment if you like it. Would love to hear from you.
