What materials did you use?
White Kona cotton treated with Bubble-jet to print my own fabric from scanned images of Leonardo da Vinci's sketches as well as the Mona Lisa. Dupioni silk, batiks, and several threads used for embellishment.
I work in a fine arts museum and was privileged to take our drawing of the Mona Lisa attributed to da Vinci to an exhibition in Japan. Our drawing shows her holding a feather. I thought...what if that was changed to a flyswatter (via Photoshop) and there was a fly in the studio during her portrait sitting?
Wow super cool!!!! & cool story about your inspiration, love it, you brought me right to that image of her & the fly swatter! Made me smile!
