What materials did you use? Fabric selvages, batiks, loose batting, black embroidery floss, oval stretched canvas on frame, colored jewelry wire

What are you most proud of? This was made as an auction item for Say Si, a non-profit furthering art education in San Antonio

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a modified bird pattern from Sharon Holland. The tangled nest cording is simply one selvage twisted with white eyelash cord and a black ribbon, then fed under an open-toe foot and zigzagged tightly. The feet are simple twisted jewelry wire.

Pam, love the use of fabric selvages - especially in the cording. I like how you started the cording after "wordplay" on the selvage! The feet on the bird are darling!
