cotton fabric, batting, and a pillow form

What was your inspiration?

My husband's grandmother, Grandma Marge. She turned 90 on July 1st and we wanted to give her something special. I made this pillow with a patch pocket on the back so that she can place pictures inside.

What are you most proud of?

The use of fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be creative with the color selection but don't get hung up on placement of color--just go with the flow and have fun!

I love the scrappy look. I will definately use that format. They would make lovely Christmas gifts too. Enclose a picture of your family with the pillow in the pocket. Thanks for the idea.

This is BEAUTIFUL! My Grandma turns 85 in a couple weeks. We are having a BIG party. This would be the perfect gift. I might have to give it a try!

Thanks, Sadie! It's hard to know what to buy so making something seemed like the only option. :) We always send Gma Marge photos so I figure this way she can keep her current favorites nearby. I want to see what you make!
