|Here are some details about my project:|
Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. A 18x14 oil on canvas portrait of a good friend's late twin brother. It took 3 days to sketch out and 2 days to paint.
What are you most proud of? The background in this portrait is my very first attempt at any type of landscape so, for my first try, I think it came out very nicely.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? I've done lots of research, practice, and lots of trial and error with numerous fails. However, practice makes perfect and when it comes to portraits and capturing the likeness in them I remember one quote from a favorite artist of mine, "Don't add something that's not really there. See the shapes, curves, and angles that are truly there."
