What was your inspiration?
I read a while back ago that the reusable grocery totes you get at the grocery actually are a haven for bacteria. YUK! I had to come up with my own easy, washable tote for carrying to the store. Then I made it into a Tutorial and teach it as a Sip & Stitch at the Beehive.
What are you most proud of?
My crafty friend Kim bought this fantastic fabric as a shower curtain from Target! She made a skirt and gave me the rest. I'm so glad I did not let it sit with the rest of the STACKS of fabric in my studio and that I actually used it!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
There's always a counter-intuitive step you have to take when you make a lining for a bag--inserting the outside of the bag into the inside of the bag, etc... Forget what your brain thinks. Just follow the instructions!
