What was your inspiration?
The name caught my eye first, since my name is Margarette. Then the fact it was a pattern from 1839 in Pennsylvania. Civil War reproductions work perfectly for this pattern.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of all of it. This was my first attempt at Y seams. I drew in all the outlines for the quilting on the muslin blocks. Each one has a different design. I got Best of Show at our county fair with it.

Learn to do Y seams
