The ease of this garment is a bit larger than stated on the envelope. I recommend doing full measurements and adjusting the pattern accordingly before you transfer marking and cut fabric. Otherwise, it's a beautiful fit!

Pique cotton from JoAnn Fabrics, standard zipper, matching thread.

What was your inspiration?

You can read about the inspiration on my blog here:

What are you most proud of?

I made this dress in 2 evenings while packing and moving my entire home! Recently I wore it to a celebrity Hollywood party and famous people complimented my dress... that was pretty cool.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just like any pattern, read the instructions first before starting. I found the garment ease to be a tad too generous (and I'm a true hour glass so I have curves always need allowance!), although it still fits beautifully. Next time I will measure the ease and compare it to my measurements to make the necessary adjustments.
