What materials did you use? Antique Japanese kimono fabrics, woolen and cotton applique, cotton threads

I recently underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumour. I imagined this quilt while in hospital and hand stitched it while I was recuperating at home. The background had been sewed years ago, but I didn't know what to do with it. The process was therapeutic, hence the name.
