I used a variety of fabrics that echoed the colours used for my daughter's wedding and also the themes. Guests signed the cream coloured fabric with their wishes for the happy couple
What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a memory gift for my daughter and her husband - for her to look back over the years and remember the friends and family who came together to bless their wedding
What are you most proud of?
I think the colours worked well. I also found a fat quarter of black material with bright dragonflies - dragonflies were the theme of the day. I also found some fabric with "Love Hearts" to make a border.
I managed to print photographs of the wedding onto fabric and insert it in the backing
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Preparation beforehand - I used freezer paper to firm up the fabric for signing with laundry pen and also to stop people writing in the seam allowance. Every family at the wedding was invited to leave a message.
