Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Knit. The pattern is free from Tessuti. I used my regular sewing machine even though I have a serger. I broke two sets of twin needles and dinged my plate badly before finally giving up on the twin needle idea. I used a walking foot and magic stay tape to fold down all the hems (neckline, arms and bottom hem), used the straight triple stitch on those (the tape washed away, not sure what damage that will cause!) I used my overlock stitch (stretch) to obtain a neat seam. Nowhere near as quick as a serger but I am happy with the results.

What are you most proud of? That I didn't throw my sewing machine off the second floor balcony after all the trouble it gave me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Download the free pattern from the Tessuti web site, maybe avoid stripes until you feel comfortable knowing how to match them at seams (mine matched on the left side seam but not on the right. Ya.)
