Selfdyed Cotton fabrics, Polyester thread, Batting, Steam-a-seam2Lite, tracing paper, pen, scissors and a sketch of the castle that I made many years ago.
What was your inspiration?
My own sketch, which I made waiting for an aeroplane in Kopenhagen Denmark on a trip to Singapore for over 15 years ago. I was also inspired by Marilyn Belfords artquilts. Leah Days Free Motion Quilting Project and all her fillers designs helped me a lot. for exampel I copied the design of the sky from her.
What are you most proud of?
This was one of my first Art Quilts and I didn't know what I was doing. I hadn't made a Quilt before, so I'm glad that I finished it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make it bigger than I did. This one is 11 x 8 inches. The windows were really small sewing, but it was fun to make. Give it a try!
