This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Stupendous Stitching: Adventures in Surface Design »

Instructions

These two small projects were done pretty much from the instructions in the course except for the final mounting. I found that they were stiff enough that once I had zigzagged around them twice (with no rat tail) that they were stiff enough to hang on the wall.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Whimsical

Materials

Fabric, sewing machine, fibers (rat tail, embroidery floss, pearl cotton, threads), fusible fleece and interfacing, and fusible web.

What was your inspiration?

I loved the look of the project done by the teacher and I was amazed at how nice everyone else's project looked as well.

What are you most proud of?

I finished them and they are actually hanging on the wall. I have a problem with getting things completed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Follow the instructions for your first attempt at these. I already have an idea for another project using these techniques, but I think it is worth just doing the project the way it is taught first. I learned a lot from doing that.

Love that one is vertical and one horizontal . Maybe you could hang them together....offset, but touching. Nice job.

That isn't their final spot on the wall. And I like your idea and just might to that.
