The Big Bag

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:

Instructions

This is a great pattern. Like most Kwik Sew patterns, it is easy to follow.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Traditional, Classic

Materials

Amy Butler Cotton Twill (home dec), fusible horsehair interfacing, and a magnetic closure

What was your inspiration?

Hmm...it's just a great pattern. I like smaller bags, but every-once-in-a-while, I like something large to cram a bunch of stuff in.

What are you most proud of?

The gusset lined up perfectly. When I teach this as a class, the ladies are amazed that, with some patience, it all comes together.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go slow with the gusset and don't pull the fabric. - for help, check out my blog posting on sewing gussets: http://mselaineousteachessewing.blogspot.com/2012/04/todays-project-big-bag.html

Tell me about the "label" on the outside. I can't read it.
