What was your inspiration?
I knit a Packer hat for last year's Superbowl, and I striped it green, white and gold. I kept knitting until I ran out of yarn. It's about 3 feet tall - kind of "Cat in the Hat" style. I got so many compliments on it, I decided to design a more practical, wearable version.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the response to this hat. Everybody who sees it - loves it. It kind of bounces like a slinky, and it's just funky and cool. Plus the fact that it will fit just about everyone in your family is an added bonus.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
When you get to the I-cord topper, I would leave a long tail for each one, in case you need to to tighten it up at the top.
