What materials did you use? I used Twist Yarns of Intrigue "Sparkle" in red.

I was so impressed with everything I learned from Laura Nelkin's class that I've knit close to a dozen shawls now. This particular shawl pattern is by Miriam Felton and is knit in Twist Yarns of Intrigue "Twist Sparkle." I think it came out great!

Thank you for mentioning the name of the pattern and yarn. It's a beauty! I agree; Laura's courses are so inspiring. I'm in a total lace phase now! All of the shawls you've posted are so inspiring.

Bette, Thanks for the kind words. Cathy Duncan, the owner and dyer of Twist Yarns of Intrigue has an online shop. You might want to check it out. Donna

I am so impressed with both the class and teacher as well. I would like to tackle something like this as I have been collecting lace books forever, but I haven't had the courage, as you obviously have. It is so beautiful it almost convinces me to start another one, but I think I will stick with these two for now. When I do start, I hope mine turn out as lovely as yours. I admire you for jumping right in there.

Janette, Thank you for the compliment. Don't be afraid to start another shawl - Laura made sure she taught us all the things we'd need to make almost any lace shawl, so go ahead and pick one you like and go for it! Good luck! Donna
