Share a little about the ingredients and techniques used to create this dish/item. Adapted from a very old recipe of my grandmother's, this adds a different twist to traditional cranberry sauce. Adds sophistication, but not complexity to your holiday meal. Cinnamon Cranberry Chutney: 3 c. fresh cranberries (1 bag) 3/4 c. water 1/3 c. cider vinegar 1 cinnamon stick 3 whole cloves 2/3 c. sugar Rinse cranberries. Bring cranberries, water, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves to a boil. Stir constantly at a gentle rolling boiling for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Let cool. Carefully remove cinnamon stick and cloves before serving. Chutney will thicken as it cools. Adjust sugar to taste.
