Instructions

You are sewing on the diagonal - so be careful not to stretch. Iron the blocks carefully and then trim them. I made this quilt a little larger - one more row across and down.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

Bittersweet by Nancy Halvorsen

What was your inspiration?

I loved the rich colors in the fabrics.

What are you most proud of?

It came together so beautifully - the colors and the way my instructor long arm quilted it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Work slowly and be sure you have a 1/4" foot or measurement so you can be accurate. Be careful with the bias seams in the pinwheels.

This is very sweet. I was suprised about the block being a pinwheel. Nice.

Beautiful. The squares look solid from a distance, but I was tickled pink when I looked at the blocks close up. I love adding a simple touch to the backing of quilts also. Great workmanship.
