What was your inspiration?
Mood Fabrics in NYC was my inspiration. I found this amazing Thakoon fabric in a pile of bolts that was to be put back on the shelves. It has a lovely drape and the pattern is both modern and retro feeling at the same time. I love bringing home souvenirs of fabric and notions from my trips. Now this lovely blouse is a souvenir from NYC and I will remember this trip each time I wear the blouse.
What are you most proud of?
The buttons. However, I guess I should give that credit to my lovely Bernina machine. I got this machine precisely for the way it does button holes. However, I am still proud.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Choose a fabric with drape and I think you will be happy with the pattern.
