What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Well I had fun doing this project and learned a lot, beside entrelac techniques, I learned what not to do, how to fix mistakes, how to ignore mistakes , figuring " I'm the boss of my knitting" and "no one is going to get that close" :)
I took the picture with the 2 major mistakes showing, can you tell what they are?
1. I twisted when joining. I can't believe I did this as I knit in the round all the time without problems. Could have been the 2 a.m. Knitting syndrome
2. Three of my top triangles came out like a little cups, almost like a heel. . I could not for the life of me figure it out as I was watching the video over and over and over. Finally, I found I was knitting in the wrong direction and as soon as I went back the other way, it was fine. I don't understand why that would do it , but it did.

I found that I didn't like the look of the pattern done on the top and bottom triangles ( it was too busy" looking for me) so about the last half of my top triangles are done in all different stitches, seed, dot, etc. I figured that......
I am the boss of my knitting so I could do that. :)
Thank you Gwen, you can tell took that statement to heart.

The light pink is great for showing off the stitch patterns. Nice job on the Textured Scarf.
