This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Entrelac Knitting »

Instructions

I found the different textures harder to see with this yarn, as the yarn itself had a variety of textures, from thin to thicker, so I liked the plain garter stitch in the middle best.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Traditional, Casual, Outdoorsy, Classic

Materials

elsebeth lavold Silky Flamme, 50% Peruvian Wool, 30% Alpaca, 20% silk

What was your inspiration?

I like the Entrelac method of knitting, and was following Gwen Bortner's Craftsy Class.

What are you most proud of?

That I persevered with the method, even though I had difficulty following the stitch patterns in the first row. It was a lesson in understanding how difficult something is, even when you are being instructed well, when your brain is just not comprehending the method. I teach students with learning disabilities and it gave me a similar experience which certainly builds empathy and patience!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you do the first Entrelac scarf first. Make video notes and then it will help you to go back and refer to those if you get stuck with the second scarf, where the instructions are quicker. Use the 30 second repeat button!
