hello double needle, I have been doing my dyes a little differently. The Australian supplier said I could make up dyes (1 teaspoon in600ml(1pint)of bottled water as it was pretty pure, consistent and cheap and your sealed containers come with the package. This is supposed to last indefinitely. So far I have tested it for same intensity and it hasn't lost any in 8 weeks.I have no other experience but have read this elswhereand it works for me. Once the dyes are made up like this I can measure the dye solutions off as I want to experiment. First the fabric is soaked in soda ash solution and wrung out - or sometimes dried for different effects. Then I use 60mls of dye solution (give or take a little for lazy calculating of proportions(eg if all the parts add to 56 I go with that and record it as so) 1 sq yard is 9/10 of 1 sq m so you could use the same measures.when the wet dye is mixed Ijust puor it over the prepared fabric in cups,plastic bags or however the fancy takes me.With that info for you Iwill load up another photo with the colours and proportions on each one. Hope it helps. If there is too much info just keep experimenting your way.

Which dyes did you mix to get those nice pomegranate and merlot mixes? Just beautiful and very impressive, have you only used homespun? I love the color saturation.
