What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the quilting around the star! It evolved as I went along. I was going to alternate swirls and pebbling on the different blue pieces but, the blue fabric made the pebbling looked like it was under water so I threw some swirls right in with them to symbolize a current. When I got the corner done I decided to make a stream of it from top left to bottom right so I just did some echoing of the opposite diagonal to keep from competing with my bubbling brook. :) I love how it turned out and I probably couldn't do it again! LOL

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be spontaneous! That's the best part. I really love this!

Is Texas lone star and bars the name of this pattern? I love it and would like to try it but having no luck finding the pattern

Hi Cat A. The pattern is the Spinning Star Block. I just used scraps to make the surrounding blue space a little larger. If you'd like a pattern that includes the bars though, I'd be happy to make one.
